Getting to Daejeon from Incheon International Airport

From Incheon International Airport
There is an airport bus service running directly between
Incheon International Airport and Daejeon. The bus leaves the airport roughly every 30 minutes, and arrives in Daejeon near the Government Building Complex. (The alternative would be to take a bus to Seoul Station and a train to Daejeon from there. This takes equally long, is more expensive, and involves two changes of transportation.)

You can buy tickets for the bus at the Airport Limousine Bus counters in the arrival hall. There is only one bus line to Daejeon, so you cannot get the wrong ticket. The bus leaves from bus stop #9D, this is in the second row outside the arrival hall (that is, cross the first street after leaving the arrival hall). Tickets are 14,200 Won/person, one-way for the standard bus, and 21,300 Won/person for the deluxe bus, which has bigger seats. (We recommend simply taking the earliest bus for which you can get a seat. Sometimes the first available bus is already sold out.)

The ride takes close to three hours in total. The bus usually stops for 15 minutes at a highway rest stop (in Cheonan), after that it takes about 45 minutes until it exits the highway in Daejeon. The bus stops three times in Daejeon, first at the former Lotte hotel (now called "Daedeok Hotel"), then at the Government Complex, finally at the Daejeon Eastern Express Bus Terminal. They may ask you which stop you want to get off when you board the bus, as they store the luggage separately, depending on destination. The second stop, "Government Building Complex" (
Á¤ºÎû»ç), is the most convenient stop to take a taxi or bus for the KAIST campus.
